Building one PV project and five medium scale concentrating solar power plants at various country towns across central and western NSW is likely to cost of the order of $200M. It could be accomplished over the next five to six years.  It would demonstrate the capabilities of the main solar technologies to provide reliable electrical power to regional communities.

From a costing viewpoint, a scaleable plant means that if funding runs short, it is possible to build a smaller plant for a lower cost.
